1995 Ford Taurus shaking when hitting the brakes

I have a 1995 Ford Taurus GL 3.8L (non-wagon). When I hit the brakes on the car, it shakes violently and is very prominent in the steering wheel. One garage said it was the front driver side bearing, I replaced that to no avail. The next garage said it was the rear brakes, I replace the rear brakes and rotors also to no avail. I also have a recently replaced front driver side rotor and my front brakes seem to have plenty of life left in them. My step-father thinks it is the front stabilizer bar but the car still seems to handle fine so I'm not entirely sure. The worst of the shaking is around 35-50mph but it shakes very much at almost any speed. The shaking seems to coincide with rotation as the shaking slows as the car itself slows. I should also add that if I am only lightly riding the brakes around 30mph it feels like the brakes are grabbing and letting go and I know that whatever is causing that is what is causing the shaking. I'm not sure if it is the brakes doing that or something else but something directly related to the rotation of the tires is what is causing the shaking and I don't know what it is.

Why did you replace only one front rotor? A vibration in the steering wheel and a pulsation in the brake pedal while applying brakes is 99% of the time warped front brake rotors. On a rare occasion it could be a warped hub flange. I would suggest replacing the other rotor.

2001 ford taurus, 3.0 vulcan motor. just rebuilt the whole motor, backfires out of the intake, seems to be out of firing order. i triple checked my work and can't find the problem. whistling sound of...

Back firing out of the intake is because the valves/cams are not set right. When you did the timing belt . did you set the crankshaft mark at top dead center of the compression stroke. If it's at the exhaust stroke this would cause backfiring and violent shaking.

How to change front brake rotor on 2000 ford taurus wagon cause front wheel shake when brake apply

Remove both caliper mounting bolts should be 12 or 13 mm bolts. Next remove both caliper mounting bracket bolts 15mm. Rotor should then pull off. If not use large hammer and hit the face off the rotor hub between the wheel studs until it comes loose. Make sure the face of the wheel hub is free of rust between the wheel studs and use high temp anti seize around the center circle of the wheel studs.
