How to change a headlight on a 02 jeep grand cherokee


Raise hood and access the lights from behind the front cap. Carefully unplug the socket from bulb and remove retain ring or clip. Carefully remove bulb. Installation is reverse of removal. Be careful NOT to touch the glass surface of the new bulb, as the oils in the skin will cause it to shatter when heated.

Right brake light is out and don't know which bulb to change


Have someone apply brakes. Observe which bulb lights in the left light housing. This is the bulb you want to replace.

There's a small space behind inside fender. You can get your hand in there to grab and twist the back of the bulb to release it. You need a flashlight.
