there must be a switch on the actual light fitting to set it to 1 always on , 2 always off , 3 on when door opens , check the switch position

Which fuse if for the door and interior lights?

If you have the owner's manual it will tell you. If you don't and the fuse is blown, use a test light. Connect light to a good ground, turn the key to run and check to see if both tabs at the top of the fuse light the test light. Any that only light from 1 tab are blown. You can also pull 1 fuse at a time to see if it is blown, remember to put it back in before pulling the next one.

pull each fuse out 1 by 1 and replace each 1 by 1 untill you find the blow fuse. Blown fuses look like =08d44194-72c5-4b17-8aca-b460733774a0.gif

Any problems with interior lights blowing fuses??

For an interior light to blow fuses you have a dead short in the wire to the bulb or possiblely the wrong bulb. Pull the bulb and see if the fuse still blows.

Which fuse controls rear running lights

The Malibu's tail light fuse is located within the driver's side interior fuse box.

Look on the bottom-left side of the interior fuse compartment; there is a fuse labeled "Stp Lps" (stands for Stop Lamps). Grasp the fuse with the fuse puller; pull it straight out. good-luck !!

FUSE BOX HAS CLICKING SOUND

i'm sure that would be somewhat disconcerting. it's one of the relays clicking. remove the fuse panel cover and put your finger on each relay till you find the one that is clicking.... pull it out and replace it. you'll know you have the right one if the interior lights go off when you pull it out.
