It does not have a heater motor. The temp control door is controlled by cables located on the driver's side near the gas pedal. If you are talking about the blower motor it is located on the passenger side behind the glove box.

My manuel trans. 2001 for focus has a rattle sound and vibrates a bit when starting. It seems to go away after it warms up a bit, but it is getting progressively worse and the vibration is lasting lon

I had a 1984 Mustang 4 cylinder that match the symptoms of your Ford Focus. I found that it was the core inside the catalytic converter had broke up and started to rattle. Not saying this is your problem but a possibility. Another possiblity, exhaust bumping the body of the car.
The wer wer wer sound you hear going over uneven ground is probably not related to the other mentioned. It sounds like the four wheel independent suspension adjusting to the terrain. Cool temperatures help promote this noise due to rubber bushing that your vehicle has in the suspension areas. Annoying, but considered normal. Hope this points you in the right direction and helps. Let me know what you found. Later, Todd

I have a ford focus 2001 wagon. My heater motor doesnt work on settings 1 -3 but works on setting 4. I have replaced the blower motor. I have also replaced the switch. Is there any thing esle i can try to...

Third time's a charm. Would have told you to check the resistor first. Doh!
If it's any consolation, a bad switch is usually what makes the resistor go bad, but your old motor is probably just fine--sell it on e-bay!
Now, if I could only tell you where to find the resistor. Somewhere along the heater box between the switch and the motor. The resistors actually hang inside the box for cooling. It looks like the pick below with wires coming out. Some wires go to the motor, some to the switch.
Find it, take connector off, take 2 screws out. Pull it out of the heater box. See, it's all burned up.
Pay autozone $50 for a new one and get back to your life.

Golf mk 5 sdi weired noise

think the heater relay timer for the glow plugs is having a heart attack and playing up ,often happens and a new one is about 90 euros and only available from the dealer normally but some motor factors will supply but they only send a lad to the dealers on a moped whilst you wait for it thinking they are having a job finding one

I have fitted a new wishbone to my mk 1 focus but where the wishbone joins to the wheel hub I can't get the knuckle in the hole in the hub any ideas?

Loosen the top balljoint, release the pressure on the spring, with compressors, then swing the bottom joint in. Once installed, release the spring compressors and it's done.
