Code P0440 on 1997 Grand Am-anyone have similiar situation?how can I fix it

True. But it could be the filler tube, which in my case, was the culprit.

Code p0440 is an evap leak.to start off check to see if your gas cap is tight.remove it and see if the seal inside is cracked.if so replace it.if all is fine you have to find a leak within your evap canister.

I have a 1995 jeep grand cherokee with a v8 engine that aint getting no spark or fuel to the engine I have replaced a couple of parts like the o2 sensor,crank positiong sensor,magnetic pick-up...


Does the check engine light come on, on the dashboard, when you turn on the ignition, before cranking? If the check engine light does not light up on the dash, then your ecu is bad and in need of repair. That would also explain why it's not giving any diagnostic codes.

We had similiar issue last year with my sons 2000 jeep-
diagnosised crank shaft sensor ( repair code 320)- $79.00 part/$75.00 labor. Hope that helps.

On the 3.8 6cyl it's near the thermostat housing, it looks like a spark plug that has 2 wires going to it.

3.3 6cyl may be similiarly located near the thermostat housing.

Autozone.com has troublshooting section and repair section online that may show the exact location

codepo154 is o2 sensor on intake manifold passenger side codes ,po304 is either bad sparkplug,wire or coil maybe injector hard to tell start cheap,i beleive its a sensor on tranny itself good luck

2003 grand am gt ... rear end sways badly when


good day, you may need to check on your rear suspension bushings and replace the worn out ones. you may need to get a new set of tires too for what you are using now might have no more threads. hope this helps, have a nice day

If there is an engine code po410 you have problems with your airpump. There are bulletins out on this situation.
