The vacuum pump is situated at the rear of the alternator and driven from it.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

http://www.onlinefreeebooks.net/autos/car/toyota-l-2l-2l-t-engine-repair-manual-pdf.html I've not had to change one on a Toyota but they are in the tank. The link has some free manuals. Some cars and trucks require you to take the tank out first. The job is not too hard provided you are able to safely raise the truck and drain out some of the fuel to lighten the tank.

well, a hard firm pedal, usually indicates a bad brake booster or a vacuum leak to booster or the vacuum check valve, on booster. TO TEST BRAKE BOOSTER; pump brakes several times with engine off to deplete stored vacuum. turn on engine with pushing slightly on pedal. you should feel the pedal fade away a bit and then become firm, but not hard. if you feel nothing at the pedal when engine starts the booster is at fault. good-luck !!

I am looking for a vacumn pump for that runs with booster brake it is what generates pressure to the brakes

the vacume is produced by the engine not a pump if there is no vacume getting to the booster either the hos is disconnected (broken) or something is wrong with the engine..first disconnect the hose going to the booster start the engine and verify if there is suction by blocking the hose with your finger shut off the engine if there was vacume and your pedal is hard your brake booster is probably bad
