Question about 1997 Volkswagen Eurovan

Most likely causes are the Exhaust Gas Recirc valve (EGR) or bad O2 sensors. These will cause the Light to come on.
One other simple check is the gas cap!
You can try removing the battery cable (negative) and leaving disconected for 5 minutes, then see if it will reset.
If not then you have a sensor (like the ones named above) that is causing a trouble code to register. A code reader should be able to tell which code is causing the problem!

I got my 1993 eurovan CV 2 weeks ago. I am luckier than you since I got the owner's manual. I can scan it and send it to you thru email. email me at email@example.com
You need to push two buttons on the control panel at the same time to turn on the freezer. The freezer button and the on/off button.
I hope it helps.

I had the same problem as this. There is a pipe that runs from the petrol tank around and up into the air inlet shaft under the spare wheel well. I am not sure exactly what it does I think it has an expansion valve on it. There is a join in this between two tubes that join. This is a simple piece of fuel tube with an internal dimension of say 5mm. If you feel your hand into that air shaft there, locate the fuel tube feel your way along the pipe, you will find the join. Just pull the old one out and put a new piece in. Very simple. really

There is a small round metal wire that comes out of the front center of the seat. If you sit on the seat, while depressing the wire down, and pivot using your body weight, the seat should turn. Sometimes spraying the black seat mount is necessary to lube it. You may have to remove the seat if rusty or very dirty. To do that, slide the seat as far forward as possible, then lift the small metal lever on the left side of the seat, to release the lock on the track allowing the seat to move forward off the track. Note: both the passenger and drivers seats should turn on your model.
