SOURCE: how do you replace the fuel relay on a 2006 lincoln navigator

Its inside the fuel pump assembly. Unfourtunetly, you cannot buy it alone. You have to replace the entire fuel pump assembly (unless you can find the assembly at a junk yard and then take out the relay.

Good luck!

Where to replace the fuel pump relay on a 2003 Lincoln navigator

First check fuse to the fuel pump. The relay may not be a plug-in unit and if truly bad you might need to take it to a dealer. There are several fuse panels - one is in engine compartment and the other is in the passenger side kick panel. I believe the one in the kick panel has the fuel pump fuse. Fuse 1.34 is the fuse for the relay.

Check for any stored ECM that might be related, a local checker or Auto zone can help with a code pull.

Will not start I don,t hear fuel pump run

when you turn key to on position, not start position, you say you cannot hear pump hum for a few seconds, correct ? first check fuses, then find fuel pump relay, it may have a fuse in it also. I would replace relay first. after the fuses of course. if you still don't hear pump run, then your pump is most likely the problem. its in your tank. one more thing, make sure all grounds are good in this circuit. it could be that simple. good luck

Motor turns will not start

You can start by checking your fuel pump fuse/relay or the fuel reset switch if your van is equipped. You should hear the fuel pump humming for a second or two when you first turn the key. Let me know if your hear it.

My car wont start, it is turning over but AAA said it may be fuel pump. how can I tell

Being you have a throttle body, you have to have a fuel pump. when you turn the key to the run position, can you hear the fuel pump prime. if someone stands near the rear of the vehicle, they should hear a buzzing sound for about 5 seconds. You could try seeing, while trying to crank the vehicle, is disconnect the fuel flow line under the hood. When you try to start the car, fuel should go through this line. This will tell you the pump is working. If you look in your owners manual, under fuse and relay. one of these may be out. The book will tell you what fuse is what, and where the relays are, and for what. Your pump is located in the fuel tank, and hopefully its something simple. If you have to drop the tank, let me know, and I'll help you through that. It is not a friendly job. Hope this helps, and its something simple

Navigator will not start turning over fine , just cut off at redlight, would not restart lincoln navigator 2001

that sounds like it could be a fuel pump. have someone turn on the key but not start the truck while you listen by the tank for a humming sound. IT will only last a second or two. If you dont hear anything then your pump is bad. The filter could be clogged also. before tearing off your gas tank replace the fuel filter, which you would do if you replaced the pump anyway.

remove the cover from your computer under the hood and check all the fuses.
