Sorry, too vague... I assume you have looked at he cable itself as well as the floor mat? Idle delay valve maybe? Does it do it when the vehicle is stopped or rolling? JOAT

Take off the air cleaner from the throttle body, take some carb cleaner and a rag ,now manually open the butterfly valve with your hand this will allow you to clean inside. the deposit build up around the valve edge is enough to make the accelarator stick and drive you mental , trust me this is simple but very effective

My 2000 GMC/jimmy suv starts up but doesn't respond or rev up whenI push the accelerator pedal

Look for where the throttle cable connects at the throttle body. If you can move the throttle plate here and get the engine to respond, then the cable is either broken or disconnected at one end or the other. Any other situation doesn't seem likely.

check vacuum lines, near air canisters and air filters etc, usually rubber hoses, may be cracked ,split, dry rot enough to let air in. may as well start there.

The caliper pistons can be sticking. By flushing out the brake fluid on both rear calipers may correct your problem if contamination is removed by bleeding the rear calipers
