Question about 1997 Toyota T100
It depends on if you have the 3.4 V-6 or the 2.7 4Cyl. i have the 3.4 V-6 (185000 miles) and it has a belt and i just replaced the timing belt and water pump a few months ago. the whole thing took about 4.5 hrs. The 2.7 4cyl uses a timing chain i think and if you have over 100000 miles on it i would go head and have it replace before it slips or break.

CALL AUTOZONE OR NAPA WITH THE ENGINE SIZE YEAR ETC... AND THEY CAN ANDWER THIS QUESTION. GENERALLY 100,000MILE IS THE LIMIT FOR EITHER ONE
