Question about 1996 Audi A4

Ive just noticed one of the break disc on the front of my audi a4 is vented the other is solid is this dangerous?

No it is not dangerous, the vented rotors just help to cool the rotor surface faster.

get the front breakes checked incase they need replacing if they are ok you can try cleaning the rust of around the disks also taking the pads out and putting a bit copper grease on the backs of the pads might stop them from sqeeking some time a harder pad will make the sqeek any way but try the above it should stop hope this helps ivan

Ive just had new brake discs and pads al laround now i have clicking noise on the front wheels which i can feel through the pedal


one of the rotors is warped or out of round, the click you hear is the caliper moving back and forth, and it pulsates back to the pedal, get it replaced

I NEED TO REMOVE DASHBOARD FROM AUDI A4 2001


What happened?? Dash boards don't like to be removed. You will need a book, some of the bolts are hidden behind vents and other stuff in the dash, the steering will have to come off. The switches, for the most should pull out the front, be disconnected, and the wire stuffed back in, the ac controls should pop off, remove the plastic front, bolts underneath?, leave the vent controls where they lie, take notes, take fotos, get help, this is a 2 day job!!

Hi my 1997 audi a4 1.9 tdi is juddering when i pull away . ive had 2 new cluches. each time when a new cluch was fitted the problem stopped for about a week or so but then returned. any ideas?......


These cars Have a fault with the Crankshaft damper breaking up.This is all fitted in the bottom crank pullyRemove the bottom pully and check.I think you will find that damaged.I have had this problem before on audi vw seat.

Audi A4 "left dipped headlight" problem


I have the same issue on my 2002 A4. According to my Audi dealer mechanic, there is a sensor on the front suspension that controls the angle of the headlight. Replacing this may resolve the issue.
