Try having the transmission serviced with a new filter and have a cleaner run through it and flushed with new fluid. Have them put a transmission additive to help with the shifting and see if this helps. If this does not help will probably have to have the tranny overhauled.

2004 After about a mile of road travel, why does transmission begin to slip?

Usually a transmission slipping isn't due to the drive shaft, but the transmission itself. I know this might sound a like a crazy question, but have you checked the transmission fluid levels, could be a leak, if not full would cause slippage.

02 ford ranger transmission slips on small incline when put in park.

Check your transmission fluid level. Add if it is low. Your Ranger may at some point need a transmission rebuild. This involves pulling the transmission from beneath the truck and replacing the individual gears. Rebuilds are needed when the gear teeth (the grooved serrated edge of a gear) begin to wear. When this happens the gears cannot engage completely and the transmission will begin to slip.

2002 Chevy silverado, at speeds of 60+ mph, it feels like the transmission slips or it sputters(hesitates), but only at high speeds

Are you certain that it is the transmission and not the engine misfiring? I would recommend scanning your onboard computer network to BEGIN proper diagnosis.

Car slipping in uphill acceleration is it my tires or something more is wrong with it?

Hi,
If the engine is revving but your not going forward then it sounds like your clutch is slipping if it is a manual, or the clutch packs are worn if it is an automatic transmission. Either way the clutch or transmission will need to be repaired or replaced. Hope this helps, let me know how you get on.

2000 Dodge Caravan the transmission works fine then slips or goes out of gear then works fine again.

if the check engine light is on it could be as simple as input/output sensors on transmission. this is where diagnosis would begin.

My 1997 ford taurus transmission slips when it shifts to second

this is caused by a piston in the transmission that has a crack in it once it warms up the crack seals and operates normally.being cold the crack opens up allowing fluid to flow past it. take to trans shop as soon as you can, will be minimum repair if it has not caused further damage in the transmission.

sounds like your automatic transmission is beginning to slip. I would look into getting a transmission fluid change maybe the fluid is sludged.
