I drive a 04 mustang v6 and when i push on clutch it makes a loud squeling noise and the clutch gets hard 2 push

The pressure plate and release bearing are worn out. You will need a new clutch disc, pressure plate and release bearing. You can either get an estimate from a garage or replace the parts yourself. To replace you will need a transmission jack and mechanics tools.Remove the drive line. Support the engine with a stand and block of wood. Remove the rear bracket. Position the jack under the transmission and loosen the clutch adjustment. Separate the linkages and release bearing fork . Remove the bolts surrounding the bell housing. Carefully back out and lower the transmission. Remove and replace the clutch assembly, and pilot shaft bushing (brass part at the center of the flywheel). You use a wooden dowel or a pilot shaft tool to orient the clutch disc inside the pressure plate while re-installing.

When i accelerate there is a loud clanking sound from engine i guess

Possible the faults can be related to the following:
1. check the clutch settings- if the clutch is slipping this noise can come up. release the clutch very slowly and check if the noise reduces.
2.Possible that the drive links, the drive shaft , bearing assembly is faulty.
3. Possible there is loose linkages on the brake assembly which could get into the movement of the wheel and make noise.
4. The noise can be within the engine, possible that the belt slipping, water pump bearings, alternator bearings or idler units.

I have a 97 civic vtec and im having serious problems with the clutch. i recently replaced the master cylinder because it was weeping fluid and the clutch was not dis-engaging properly so i replaced it...

if you are saying that there is a whirring noise whenever the clutch is engaged, it may be one of the two causes: it's either you have a loose spline hub on the clutch shaft OR there is misalignment on the engine and transmission resulting to the forward and backward movement of the clutch disk on the shaft..
you cannot get the car into gear.. hmhm, that is called a dragging clutch and it is usually experienced when the flywheel and pressure plate do not fully release the clutch disk in its disengaged positions.. Dragging clutch may be due to: 1. excessive clutch pedal free play or travel 2. improper adjustmen of clutch fingers or release levers 3. warped pressure plate, flywheel (which needs to be brought at the machine shop), or clutch disk 4. loose or worn out clutch disk facings 5. loose or worn out clutch linkage parts 6. accumulation of dust in the clutch 7. engine idling is too fast 8. tight/ burred splines 9. worn out pilot bearing or bushing 10. muisaligned beel housing

Have got a 1997 saab 9000 cs hatchback. When I put my foot on the clutch it makes a whirring noise.Dissapears when clutch not engaged. Any ideas? Theres also a strange rubber smell after being driven for 30...

Throw out bearing is going bad. When you depress the pedal it makes contact with a bearing that contacts the clutch fingers. Bearing is shot. Continue running this way and the pressure plate will be ruined.

In 2 wheel drive there is a whirring sound from the front end followed by a loud clunk where it feels as though you have run over a large rock or chunk of ice. Does not seem to occur in 4wd

if the whirring you describe sounds like an airplane and increases with speed that would be a wheelbearing and it may be loose to cause the clunk noise. when it is put in 4 wheel drive that can load the bearing up and noise goes away.

sounds like the release bearing to me, and that would require re&re of the trans, may as well replace the clutch while you're at it

Mazda rx8 grind from transmission tunnel

That's the "throw out" or "release bearing". If it makes a loud noise you'll have to take it to a shop as the transmission has to be pulled to replace it.
The clutch, pressure plate and release bearing are usually all replaced at one time....
