I have installed 2 brand new radios in my wife's 1996 Chrysler LSH.A Sony CDX-GT 210 and then a Clarion CZ309. On both radios the Fm works and has great sound but when you set it to play CD, aux input or anything of that nature you get no sound.( i can get 1 second of sound from the aux input on the clarion.
The cd's spin it changes tracks, reads the music names, etc just no sound. any help appreciated.
SOURCE: radio code
According to the dealership, Chrysler doesn't use lock code on their radios. The dealer advises to buy a new radio.
SOURCE: My CD won't eject from my car radio.
theres a rubber belt that works with the eject function. you must remove the radio from car, usually there 2 screws that keeps the cover in place, then theres 4 screws that holds the cd unit in place , be care full on some of the models there is a flex cable under the unit that you need to remove very care full the belt should sit on the side of the unit replace this belt. It also sounds like your lens is dirty try to move the lens in a position so it can be reached with a ear cleaner, "cotton on a stick" use Methylated Spirits or isoponyl clean gently...You can get the isoponyl from pharmacy. Hope this help
SOURCE: where is the radio fuse located on 2003 chrysler T&C
According to the Haynes repair manual: "There is no fuse and relay box inside the passenger compartment. However, there are a number of fuses, relays and circuit breakers in various locations under the dash. The heated mirror circuits and the circuit for the lower instrument panel power outlet (in the floor console) are fused with self-resetting fuses that are only serviceable by an authorized dealer." However, in the fusebox under the hood (a.k.a Integrated Power Module) there is a fuse RDO/IP IGN which is the fuse for the radio. Check this fuse. Both the radio and the Cigar Lighter are fused through the IPM.
SOURCE: Cd System in 2000 Chrysler 300M
Had same problem wit my 4 disk. A CD was jammed. Remove and open the unit up and remove the CD. The mechinizem might be jammed also. Try this before replacing. Seems like a common issue with these units. The newer 300Ms came with 6 disk changers.. not sure if these will work with the existing radio.
Good luck!
