Question about 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer

Open Question

How do you change the oil filter, it's in an awkward place to get at? Do you have any diagrams that could help me? I have a 1994 Mitsubishi Lancer Sedan.

SOURCE: FUEL FILTER

Most modern day fuel injected cars have the pump located inside the gas tank. It's the safest place to put it, it can't ignite any fumes because it's submerged in the liquid.

a guess... fuel filter should be up against subframe behind rear wheel in front of fuel tank...follow fuel lines down frame rail from motor to back end to find it.... good luck

Testimonial: "It's the fuel pump indeed. Also the gas tank found to be very dirty. The fuel pump was replaced, fuel system cleaned, now the car runs perfectly."

Leaking oil from just below the head of a 1994 Mitsubishi lancer unsure were its coming from?

Here are the places from which oil can leak., and they are in order of what is the most likely first.
1) The valve cover gasket. Often lasts around 100,000 miles.
2) The oil pressure sending unit, usually lasts around 200,000 miles.
3) The oil filter itself, should never leak.
4) The front main seal, near the vibration damper, which is where the rubber drive belts are found. Usually good for 250,000 miles.
Be blessed.

2002 Mitsubishi Lancer Oil Light at Low RPMS.

could be the oil pump, but before you get to that, whens the last time you had you oil changed? is it the right type? was the filter changed to? if the oil is to thick for your engine, the pump could be having a problem pushing it. If its dirty, same thing applies. Next time you change your oil, be sure to use a full synthetic. its a superior oil all around.

1997 mitsubishi lancer glxi

If i'm not mistaken the light beside the battery sign is the check engine light. this lights up if anything under the hood is not functioning the way it should. Unfortunately i cannot be more specific on this. It just means that you could be staring at a major repair, or your gas cap could be too loose (no kidding).

Well as you've mention your oil is dropping at a very fast rate then its a good place to start checking. You can check if your oil seals are ok and might as well check all the filters...oil filters, fule filters air filters.

Hope i have answered your question. Goodluck!
