Question about 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe

Driver's Side Heat turns on by itself.

Yes, my driver's side heat turns on when it wants too. I can turn the engine off for a few seconds & it will reset but when you're doing 70 down the interstate, it can be a bit scary! If I could figure out what to unhook or unplug, I'd be happy to just have cool air on my side.

2010 Lincoln MKS Heated Seat on driver's side stopped working (Light in button turns off on its' own)

The most common cause of this problem is that the drivers seat heater grid is open or burned out. That is based on 25 years as a Ford dealer technician.

I have a 2002 Oldsmobile Aurora. When i turn the heat on, the driver side doesn't blow hot air. Only the passenger side and the rear console do. whats the problem?

your vehicle has dual controlls for the heat and air. Make sure the driver side heat is on. if that fails, see if you have heat coming out of any vents on the drivers side. if not, the controller could have a bad connection of a loose vacum hosecausing the proper doors to not open or close properly.

2005 chevy impala passenger side blows heat out continuously, driver's side works fine with heater & AC

You may find a reset will solve this annoying problem. The problem you have is the GM heater control unit has lost it's calibration, which can happen from time to time. The way to reset it is, start your car and turn your heater off, and shut off the car, pull out the keys. Then with vehicle off, disconnect the battery, (or batteries if it has two). Let sit for 10 minutes, then re-connect battery. Get in and start the engine, DON'T touch anything, let the heater control unit re-calibrate for at least 40 seconds, (by the clock), then try turning on the heater.
Good luck!

HEAT ONLY BLOWING WARM AIR ON PASSENGER SIDE

have someone check the driver's side temperature control doors, in behind the radio. there are two push rods attached to a plastic piece. the connector on one or both of these push rods, become unattached. leaving you with cold air. once that temperature door is closed you get hot air. passenger side still mixes, but not drivers. All or none for heat on Driver's side

1998 catera has no heat on driver side but has heat on pass

The first issue is to reprogram the blend doors for the HVAC system. You can do this yourself by pressing on the Off/On button and the drivers side temperature control knob at the same time for five seconds. Then release the buttons and you should hear the doors moving as the system reprograms itself. Good Luck.

2007 Chevy Silverado dual climate control, even if passenger side is not on it blows cold air on passenger side and hot on driver side when in heat mode, also noticed cold air on driver side when A/C is on...

Just had this happen today to my 2007 silverado heat on the right side cold air on the left side. After engine was off 15 minutes and restarted heat was on both sides. I'm guessing a relay failed to open door to allow the heat to flow thus blowing cold air.will monitor diligently for a while.

The heated seat on driver side will not turn on. Switch is good, module is good, and fuse is goos. What else??

The pad itself could be damaged. It contains quite a few strands running from side to side & after repeated seating & such will break. If you get to the plug in that comes from the pad & test for voltage there & have 12 Volts getting to it, but no heat, then more than likely that's the problem. There are many replacement types available including the newer "Carbon fiber" heated seats that just slip into where the old one was & then you just plug them into the orginal wiring with minor mods.
good luck.

Heater causing electrical problems

First, always turn accessory's off before shutting vehicle off, this gives alternator a chance to charge battery without loads on it before it is loaded again during engine start. Have battery and alternator load tested. The heater fan should not be drawing that much from system unless there is an issue with it or its power feed or ground. If engine is also not getting the proper voltage it could do just as you describe. For the heating issue, does it have heat settings for driver and passenger? Hope this helps! Please rate me.
