These cars are equipped with an antitheft system that disables the starter if not working correctly or attempted theft. Turn your key forward 2 clicks until right before it would normally start, if you see a light in the dash that says SECURITY or ANTITHEFT, go to this link for help.

Humming noise coming from my 1994 cadillac deville especially during the hotter months

Late model Cadillac Deville's and Seville's may experience a humming noise in the passenger compartment when the heater is on high and the blower is set on a medium to high speed.

GM has determined that the most likely cause of the humming noise is from the positioning of the blower motor within the HVAC housing, causing a restriction of the incoming airflow. (GM TSB 03-01-37-001)

The recommended repair for this symptom is to reposition the blower motor.

1. Remove the right side sound insulator.
2. Loosen the three blower motor retainer bolts. (Do not remove bolts)
3. Shift motor as far as allowed toward the vent tube.
4. Re-tighten the retainer bolts.
5. Re-install right side sound insulator.

Starter wont turn over battery good

Could just be sticking, give it a tap with a hammer if you can get to it, otherwise put the car in 2nd gear and get someone to help you push it forward until you feel the engine turn over, it wont start or anything it just forces the engine to make a revolution and frees the starter motor off. you dont need the keys in the ignition just hand brake off and push. that will most likely fix it. If it keeps doing it then you may need a new starter motor or a selonoid.

hope this helps.

a constant humming noise from pump is a good give a way,and no you won't have to remove any AC parts, after you change it and refill it,start your car and you'll hear the humming sound, meaning there is air in the system, rev the engine up some and turn the wheel all the way to the left then the right, after a couple of times then recheck fluid level, repeat the rev and turning, this will move the air out of the system,if you still have any air left ,take the car a ride ,the higher rpms will move the air out faster.

2003 differential whine/noise

The last time I had a hum coming out of the area of the differential it was an inside axle bearing going bad. In my case there were four bearings (one on each end of each axle). It was a Toyota. We changed one bearing after listening very carefully and guessed right. I don't know if Cadillac is built similar in this regard but I'm thinking it may be. It was a speed sensitive hum sound like you describe.
