Ah yes the torment of the squeak! i own a shop and have done many of these upgrades to vehicles including mine.

i have tried everything but because of the material they use to make the bushing it causes this horrible squeak! i deal with it also after tightening , a few months later the squeaks are back.

i have found that there locking nuts they provide with the shocks will not do it's job and back off a little bit. causing them to loosen just enough to squeak but not enough to bang like they are lose.

so i use flat and locking washer that is of a high grade and tighten them using my impact gun right before the point of damage.

i have tried to find a different bushing but can not get them without buying a whole new shock. see the factory bushing is more of a ruff and pliable and the aftermarket ones are of a stiff and smooth or glossy finish causing it to be able to squeak!

this is why i have also took the bushings to my bench grinder to ruff up the contact surface. helps a little but they need to be real tight and is the only real cure for this issue!

good luck man...

I have a 2001 gmc jimmy, i had the bushings done on my front end , now my car squeak really loud when i drive and turn the wheels , and it sounds like its coming from the front

take it back to the garage that done the job and complain and make them sort it out for free ,its their boo bo as it should have been test driven and sorted before it was given back to you..if they refuse to do then be nice and leave ,then pay some heavies to go back again with you and ask again nicely and if they tell you to leave then bring your friends in with some tools in their hands

You have air in the system, you will need to work that out, some engine have cooling systen bleeders, if not loosen a heater hose to bleed air from the system.

What are the lifts that hold up the glass called?

There called gas spring shocks and are found at any well stocked auto supply store. As for the bumper, try a local salvage yard.

My 2001 gmc Jimmy is making a metal on metal grinding sound in the front left wheel area when I touch the brakes. Do u think it's brake pads or worse? And how hard is it to fix?

If the sound is barely noticable its the squeekers letting you know you need new brakes in a few more hundred miles or so.When you let your foot off the brake the sound disappears quickly doesn't it? If so its time for new pads
