Need diagram of routing for the clutch cable

I need a diagram of the routing for the clutch cable. The firewall entrance for the cable is not right in my car. There is a grommet that is not secure and the outer cable "sleeve" moves with the clutch pedal.

Need Diagram of linkage for 2002 PT Cruiser under the hood

There is no "linkage" under the hood. It is a hydraulic clutch, and the only linkage is form the pedal to the clutch master cylinder, which is bolted directly to the firewall. So all the physical "linkage" is inside the passenger compartment.

Here is a picture of the master cylinder:

You can see the bolts that come thru the firewall..

If you are having issues with the clutch, I recommend replacement like the dealer recommends: the complete sealed system. You can get it at Autozone via special order. It comes completely assembled, including Master and Slave cylinders and reservoir. Here is a picture of that:

Can you show me a diagram for routing vacuum houses?

Not only do you have at least eleven vacuum hoses, there are thousands of cars that those eleven hoses might go to. So what good would it do to post the diagram for a Ford F150 if you happen to have a nissan 300Z?

2000 kia sephia the clutch pedal stays at the floor. How to resolve this?

hi, if the pedals on the floor the clutch cable has snapped. will need replacement. please locate the cable and see if it has a part number on the outer sleeve. this may be an easy fix it depends on routing through the firewall. if this is a hydrolic clutch the master cylinder is been leaking or either completely empty of (brake fluid used for the clutch) or the clutch pipe has burst (wo'nt HOLD ANY PRESSURE). the thrust bearing has gone through the diaphram (this is a large fingered spring on the clutch to release drive to the gearbox). the gearbox will need to come out if this is the case i hope i have answered and. gerry

I need a serpintine routing diagram for a 1999 ford windstar with a 3.8 liter engine .and if it is possiable can you bypass the airconditioner condenser?

The routing diagram is on the underside of the hood or on the front radiator support panel. You really cant bypass the AC compressor either. You'll have to replace the compressor hub bearing or the whole clutch hub assembly. I think yours is frozen or noisy, right?

96 Cougar routing amp power cable through firewall.

if you look at the firewall area you usually can see rubber or plastic black plugs to run wiring to the passenger compartment; look by the left side kick panel on the floor next to your brake pedal; good area to drill if you have to ; make sure you insulate any cable or power supply going through the firewall so the wire is protected from rubbing or vibration

Heavy clutch pedal operation

Unfortunately, this model uses a clutch cable. The internal shaft (in the bell housing) eventually suffers from galling and crud accumulation. This puts enormous strain on the cable which may even break. The cable is self-adjusting but occasionally may need a little manual help. If you undo the nut (far lower right side of the box in American cars) and the clips holding the fuse box to the firewall you can lift it aside and see the cable where it exits the firewall. Grasp the large spring that surrounds the sheath and gently tug upwards. You should hear a click or two or three as the adjusting ratcheting mechanism operates. If you do not, tug a little more forcefully, but do not **** the cable as you can cause the ratcheting mechanism to fail. You will now have less free play of the clutch pedal and easier operation of the clutch. Order a new cable now and carry it in your trunk. You will be needing it soon.

Renault clio clutch adjust

If the problem is just a clutch cable (clio 55 plate should be cable, not hidraulic), you can adjust or replace the clutch cable quit easily.

If the problem concerns instead the clutch disk, then you will need to put a car up on a bridge, empty the oil and fluid, and remove the clutch that is attached on the engine, on the right lower side.
This is usually not a job for home repair.

Clutch problem

Likely need to buy a new clutch cable and install, and adjust for proper freeplay, and also possibly address the hole in the firewall .The hole needs to be looked at to make sure it is not oversized, cracked, bent,or otherwise unable to retain the cable.
