It can be the A/C switch causing this, but not likely. Make sure to turn the A/C off when you stop. If it still does it after turning the A/C off, replace the thermal relay.

Is it ossicle to bypass fan relay on Honda CR-V 2007

it is possible by joining the power in wire with the power out wire at the fan relay
HOWEVER this will mean that the fan will run continuously and flatten the battery
IT is far better to have the problem fixed and have the fans fun when necessary

Battery keeps dying, fan wont turn off?

Assuming the Pilot radiator fan is supposed to run with the ignition off, the relay theory sounds plausible. I'd pull the fuse to make sure and if the fan always comes on with the fuse in, I'd replace the relay.

If your battery is original and more than a couple years old, I'd just replace it also.

I have a 97 honda accord ex 2dr manual trans. and one of the fans keep has drained my car completely dead once and im sure will do so if it short term solution was to just unplug...

the fan relay in the fuse/relay box under the hood. should be marked. pull it out and see if the fan stops (it should) when you reinstall it it should click, if it does the relay is good, and the Radiator Fan Control Module may be bad, its complicated to check, but if you think it needs one, I have a new one, HONDA part #37740-P0H-A02. verify the part number and see if it fits your car. (its under, near the glove box) I can fax a diagram to check it, if you want? email me,

If the problem occur after you stop the car and switch-off the engine, it could be the master/main relay. After a few hours, you can restart the engine as usual. Try to replace the relay, it may work well. Happened to me and my friends before.

What replacement battery should i get for my 2005 Honda Pilot EXL with RES? Since Honda"s drain a lot more with the battery... ie RES for kids... GPS for mom... other electronics... I would like value for...

While I know that a tight budget is important (we're all feeling it) you are ina part of the country where weather is not your friend. Batteries have a toll taken on them with extreme cold and you need a battery that will stand up to the conditions.

I recommend the...
DieHard Gold North (with exchange)
Sold by Sears | Sears Item# 02833035000 | Model# 33035

It's optimized for your climate, has a full 3 year replacement warranty and a 10 year pro-rated warranty. It is well-suited for the additional electronics your Honda has.

Yes, you can find a cheaper battery, but is it worth it should the battery fail and your family is in a snow storm or other lousy conditions? I think not!
