The switch for the brake lights are attached to the break pedal. Check if got loose or went out from its place.

2003 Lincoln LS. When I shut the car off the brake lights won't shut off. Pulled the fuses just so the battery wouldn't get drained but that didn't work! Battery died and had to charge it. Thx

brake lights staying on
faulty brake light pedal switch

flat battery with fuses pulled
comes from a constant 12 volt parasitic drain from battery terminals
usually ignition alternator or starter /solenoid

I have a 1992 Toyota corolla for about a day the brake and battery lights stayed on while driving and then I stopped at a red light and it died. When I go to start it nothing happens

when brake lights stayed on surely you have a brake light switch faulty.- It is above Brake Lights Pedal.
If you have battery light on either the alternator belt is off or the alternator is faulty does not charging.

Car battery keeps dying

Myguess is that you have an electrical short which is causing a drain on the battery. The way to check this is to get a 12 v test light. Unhook the negative side of the battery. Hook the test light up between the negative battery post and the battery cable. If the light comes on, You have a short/drain. To find where the short is, you leave the test light hooked up. Then you start pulling fuses until the light goes out. However, your car stereo needs to be completely unhooked before you do this test because most stereos have a constant electrical source so that the clock stays accurate and the memory stays active so your programed stations don't get lost. The brake lights won't go out. I pulled the fuse so the battery doesn't go dead, but can't figure out why they are staying lit.

on your brake pedal there is a switch that controls your brake lights over time it comes to lose just enough for the switch won't come in contact with the pedal

Which one is the fuse for the inside lights? the inside lights stay on the whole time and i need to change it! plus is causing my battery to die

Your inside lights are staying on
If the fuse was blown they would be off
So forget the fuse.
Why would you replace a good fuse with
another good fuse?

It is not causing your battery to die
The problem that causes your light to
stay on is the cause of the battery drain

We can't diagnose or guess over the
internet, you need help from a friend or
repair shop

I have a 96 sable i change the alternater and the battery twice and when it sit for more then a day the battery dies

You have something that is staying on when it should be off such as a glove box, under hood, or trunk light. Maybe an electric antenna that keeps running. Maybe your brake lights are staying on. After eliminating the obvious, make sure everything is off and connect a test light between the positive battery post and the terminal. If the light burns, remove the fuses one at a time. When the light goes out or dims considerably, you have found the culprit.

Geo metro 1993 battery dies

most likely a light is staying on somewhere. Remove the light in your glove box, as the most likely culprit and see if the battery is good.
