WHY IS MY VOLTAGE FLUCUATING CONSTANTLY FROM 9 VOLTS UP TO 15 VOLTS????

It sounds like a loose cable that is vibration sensitive. I am not exactly following you but if it stops when the car is turned off then get the alternator and or regulator tested. Your battery should hold about 13.8v when running.

Could be your alternator is getting too weak to keep up with demand of the car's electricals. Have your alternator tested, or have a shop check your charging system. Either one will test the alternator. Know anyone with a voltmeter and how to use it?

1997 bmw 328i dash lights all lit up at once and after several minutes they faded, and eventually the headlights and dashboard lights dimmed.

Alternator. Have it tested with a voltmeter while on the car and running. Or take it off and have it tested. The current to run the car and the accessories is from the alternator when the engine is running. The battery light coming on alerts you that the alternator is not doing its job.

I had this happen to my car and I had replaced the battery and alternator-take the alternator and have it tested-even though its new because sometimes the voltage regulator is faulty

Lights are dimming, gauges are zeroing out while i'm driving. Could this be my alternator? Because car has new battery and starter.

If your battery is charge indicator light does not come on and battery is holding charge after a couple days of driving it is unlikely your alternator is faulty.
If the lights are dimming on youe meter cluster only, it could be a bad connector to the meter cluster.
If your head light are dimming it could be a bad battery connection or the alternator.

Recently i hear noise coming from under the hood, when my rpms are high, the gauges start dimming. Could it be my alternator? Belt looks good. battery gauge level is right.

If the lights go dim while driving then the charging lights should come on and that means either the relay is braking down or the regulator in the Alternator is braking down .
Its quicker and cheeper to get it checked out by a elect shop than buying a Alternator and still having the problem after, as the alternator should charge about 13.5 volts while running.. Ron
