Hood cabel broke on 2006 Sonata, how do I open hood?

If you are looking to open the hood of an Infiniti QX56, look for a lever somewhere on the side of the steering wheel or by the driver's side door. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How do i replace the key cylinder on a 2006 sonata when the steering is locked

If you are not an experinced locksmith you cannot do it without damaging something. Call a locksmith. Those guys know how to release the lock in different cars. You have to remove the steering wheel before hand though to reduce the time he/she will spend on your car.

I understand the 2006 sonata has a timing chain and not belt but I see a belt of some kind on the engine, what is it?

Hi,
That belt you have seen is a balancer belt, used mainly to eliminate the engines vibration. Actually invented by Mitsubishi, as we all know Hyundai and Mitsubishi have common designs. Thus, all Mitsubishi patented design can have Hyundai's stamp on it!
Hope that helps you out!

2006 Hyundai Sonata: Wet road causes power steering failure

Ok, the high pitch sound is your idle pulley bearings going bad. The splash of water is exactly that, the belt gets wet and slips. Definitely a pully, more than likely the idler pully.

2006 Hyundai Sonata 3.3 engine - cabin filter replacement

It should be the same general procedure as the 02. Open Glove box and remove contents. Remove glove box stops and or glove box shock on side. With the glove box swung out of the way remove the panel that covers the air filter. Remove and replace filter. Reinstall cover, and glove box stops.
