Either the wiring has worn out or broken or the fuse has been damaged, you need to check out both.

I have no power to the green wire on towing wiring harness

The green wire should be the right turn signal. Is the turn signal working on the truck,if if is the problem is probably in the towing harness or its connection to the truck.Check for fouling in the connection or a broken wire.

I have a 2008 Ford F 150 with factory installed trailer wiring. I bought a trailer plug tester. It shows the tail light function to be dead. Brake lights, turn signals all work. Any ideas?

The trailer tow adapter parking lamps is fuse #10 in the cab fuse panel. There is also a trailer tow parking lamp relay that powers them, which could have a problem as well.
Start with the fuse, and maybe check both the 7 pin and the 4 pin for the parking lamps, could be a corroded pin on one of them causing the tester to not see the power on the pin.

Need to install lighting harness to tow my 2008 Malibu with RV

The tail lamps will have to be removed first of all. You will need a test light to check all wires to see which one is for what usage. Have a friend to operate the switches inside while you test each wire and mark the wires with tape for what they are used for. Signal lamps must be marked for which side. Brake lights make no difference as so for back up lamps. The directions are incorporated with the 4 way flashers

1996 Ford Ranger No Tail lights. I have brake lights, but no Tail. I changed the bulbs, checked the fuses, nothing.

If you happen to have a trailer wiring adapter plugged into the harness, remove it first and see if they start working. I've more than one of those mess up the rear lights. If you have the three-bulb tail lights, use a test light to see if there is power to the tail bulb sockets. If there isn't, replace that fuse just to be sure, then trace back the harness to find the break in the wiring.

Turn signal and brake light problem

Had the exact problem on my 98 ranger 2wd reg cab stepside with the 2.5l 4 banger. Anytime I pressed the brake my passenger side turn signal would light up solid on the dash and the lights outside. I pulled both rear lights and both headlights and turn signals to check for corrosion/loose wires. Nothing. I checked and cleaned all my grounds and fuses. Nothing. Not until I followed my rear taillights wire harness did I find the problem. The two taillights are connected to each other via wire harness. My truck had the harness split with an adapter for trailer brakes. This harness was the problem. It is located under the rear bumper by the spare tire. Simply disconnect two harness plugs going into each side and remove it. Then connect the two plugs to each other. Problem solved.

No running lights on boat trailer towed by 2008 ford f150

You can purcahse a tester which will connect into the F-150's wiring harnes. If the led lights up, the problem is witht he trailer's wiring harness. this tester will indicate the proper operation of the brake light and turn signals.
