Probably just the flasher, but check your fuses first

Turn signals and 4-way flashers do not work - 1997 Buick Century

Time to change the flasher unit, it's usually close to the drivers side of vehicle and behind a fuse box access panel and will have something like "12v 23/98W " on it. It's a largish cube shaped componant and may be water damaged !

Where is the flasher relay located on a 1998 dodge avenger

The flasher on the avenger is mounted in the dash under and behind the heater controls. You will need to remove the panel under the heater controls to access.
This is a combination flasher that controls both signals and hazards.

1997 dodge avenger turn signal probs and location

replace the turn signal switch it self, mine did the same thing with the left turn signal, put in fuse and it will continue to flash... went to junk yard pulled one out of a 97 avenger just like mine, swapped them out and now it works fine. looked to be like some corrosion... to repace: 3 screws under columb, 2 screws on side of signal switch (black plastic side). unplug and replace

Turn signals don't work.

It could be several things including the fuse.Do you have a testlight/probe to do a couple of tests? It could be the flasher can.Do the indicators work if you put on the hazard lights? You could try swapping one fuse at a time .Just switch with another fuse of the same color and if they start to work its the fuse and if not its the main supply of power or the flasher can.If the hazards work the circuit from the flasher to the indicators is intact and shouldnt be part of the problem.
