One of the "black" wires from your stereo wire cluster is NOT a ground wire... it is the power wire for the dashboard illumination lights. This wire might actually be very dark green but looks like black. Find this wire and tape it up... it is probably touching ground somehow.

Brake lights are not working on 1998 Plymouth breeze

check brake light switch. you should have power all the time on one wire and only power on the 2nd wire when the brake pedal is pushed. if you have this check the bulbs and then the sockets for power and ground. if you have power through the switch and none at the sockets you have a break in the wire for the brake circuit that you will have to find and repair. the wires run on the drivers side under the carpet.

Installed new fuel pump in 1998 plymouth breeze and can hear pump working but car is not getting any gas.

does it have a spark at the plugs?? ,need more information ,but a rough guess is the flexable hose that connects the pump to the unit is split or perished or you just forgot to reconnect it or tighten the clip tight enough
