Question about 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan

My 2005 Grand Caravan has been sputtering or hesitating while in drive but stopped for the last two days. Now today it was doing this more frequently and did twice backa backfire noise and the engine light now comes on immediatley when turned on. Help!!

You can take the van to Autozone, they will test the check engine light to be sure. More than likely you have a bad plug wire or plug. If a plug is not firing right it will not burn the gas, hence your rough idle and back fire.

honestly it could be any of many. but might start with fuel filter. Might also have some bad gas, get a bottle of 'something called HEAT and pour into gas. hope it helps .may take a day or so to clean out the water in gas.

2005 Mazda 3 make sputtering noise while at stop sign in drive. If I put it in park it sound a little better. But when I go to leave the stop sign it wants to sputter almost to the point of shutting off....
check the air filter today, could be the issue.

Read the side of the tire. It will read like P225-70- 15 the last number is the diameter of the wheel. 14=14 inches 15=15 inches and so on.

Van is sputtering when in gear; reverse or drive
It could be dirty injector but my money is on a bad throttle position sensor. I have had to replace one on every dodge car/ van i every had, around 90-100k miles. about 55 dollars, most people could do this them self.

My 2005 Grand caravantransmission issue
The Dodge vehicles have an external solenoid pack that runs the trany.My experiance the solenoid pack starts to leak trany fluid into the electrical conector.Sometimes you can clean the fluid out with a spray cleaner and compressed air and it will temporaly fix the problem.If it does you know the solenoid pack will need to be replaced.
