There are inserts that can be put in the head, but a tap has to be used, but what probably happen if the hole is stripped is someone changed the plugs while the engine was hot. Not a good idea.

Either your not tightening the plug properly or the hole for the plug is stripped out. if the hole is stripped out you will need a new head

You need to strip the engine down and check the top of the block (deck) for cracks and have it resurfaced, Do the same for the cylinder heads, check them for vcracks and have them resurfaced. Use felpro gaskets.

Coolant on the spark plugs is a classic indication of a failed cylinder head gasket. No point in doing any further analysis 'till you get that squared away. When you replace the head gaskets, it's always advisable to have the heads checked for cracks and warpage.

Have just put new head gasket in our 4ze1 after blowing a heater hose. motor now hard to start and wont idle but runs well out on the open road. does everything right on the open road - pulls up hills etc...

plug gap 25 th ,too wider gap and it will be hard starting from cold ,as for idle then this could be a vacumn hose perished or not reconnected when head gasket changed ,or a vacumn pipe has been damaged whilst changing the head gasket follow then all back even the best of us inadvertantly damage things or drop a bolt somewhere that always rattles afterwards

When my 94 Regal GS frequently wouldn't start for 30 minutes to an hour after being driven, it was the crankshaft positioning sensor that needed to be replaced. I also replaced the harmonic balance pulley. The car ran more smoothly and started everytime.

You've replaced the timing belt as a prevention maintenance or it has failed? In case of failure was made also a valve job? Why changing the head gasket? Are the spark plugs and cables new? the answer will bw within these questions...

Replace the cigarette lighter. Look to find out what else is on the instument cluster circuit, as that may be the problem, or a bad cluster.

2004 Ford Ranger XLT miss fires in blowing snow

Sounds like you have a bad spark plug wire. Start the vehicle, then take a squirt bottle of water and spray around the plug wires. You should find it. It'll look like static around the bad one. Also you should get the misfire. You'll probably find a worn area on the wire. Best wishes to you.
