You might have a trans range selecter switch ( neutral safey switch going bad) going bad. If the check engine light is on, go get the codes read. Let me know what codes you have if you don't get it read at a Suzuki dealer. dpj1122@yahoo.com Don

I have a automatic transmission and no gears at all not even in 4 whl drive. i replaced the neutral safety switch and had drive only for a min and when i adjust it the same happens

Haley is the trans, fluid level good, if it is the transmission has an internal fault and will have to be inspected by a good transmission tech.

This sounds like a transmission problem that should be diagnosed at a transmission shop.

I have a 1998 gmc cargo van. replaced auto transmission and shifter switch. now when i put it in drive and go it goes into nuetral .when i start it again it does the same thing. when i put it in reverse it...

Does the transmission go into reverse but the indicator go into neutral? or is it you're clicking down one click from park but it goes into neutral???
If its your indicator that is stating the wrong position then that switch is out of adjustment.
I know the ned AC Delco switches come with a metal tool inserted into it so it holds the switch in the correct position when installing.

Wont start in Park But will start in Nuetral

Neutral safety switch usually threaded into transmission, unless AW-4 model. Same switch used to trip back-up lights. Look for harness with approx 3-4 wires, unplug & unscrew switch from transmission.

97 neon pops into nuetral when I hit 25 mph....

Sounds to me like you are having a transmission problem.  Basically your transmission has gone into "limp" mode which is why you can drive your car up to 25mph but no further.  Basically your transmission has limited it self to reverse, neutral, and 1st gear.  Take your car to a transmission shop and have it diagnosed.  Often a simple flush and fill will fix the problem, but you might need a new transmission.
