Loss of Power / Over Heating

eeek, sounds like a possible head gasket failure. Check your coolant and oil. If the coolant is low top it off, and if the oil is milky, you are getting coolant in your oil which is usually a bad head gasket.

It appears the cap screws off? It doesn't look like a regular radiator cap. I looked at acdelco parts book.
If the cap is stubborn, cold engine, sometimes I use a pair of pliers with wide jaws, grip the cap and screw it off. I haven't seen your type cap, before. If this was my vehicle, I would certainly want to look in the radiator. I'd get that cap off, one way or the other. Of course, nobody wants to damage anything.

if light is on get it checked for the problem code. auto-zone, or advanced auto will check the codes for free with a OBD-II scanner. You can pull the plugs and compare them to each other; plugs can tell you a lot about an engine. What I will recommend for you to do, is check the spark plugs, wires and replace you're fuel filter. good-luck! toolman,

95 camaro 3.4 sucking air from a/c vents & loss of power cant find vacume leak

Not sure what you mean by loss of power. If you mean lack of acceleration or bogging down, than a bad cat convertor can cause this problem because you are lossing vacuum during acceleration causing the vents to switch from floor to defrost. Hope this helps leave comment.

The problem is due to a lack of compression in the engine when the truck is cold, try using the engine block heater more, or allow more time for the truck to warm up.
