It may be one of the pressure cutout switches kicking in to protect the compressor that may be why you get AC for a short period.

You may have low refrigerant, which can be as simple as adding proper amount of refrigerant to the system.

Also check the when you turn the A/C on or off initally that you hear the A/C magnetic clutch engaging on the compressor...otherwise it could be slipping and failing after being used for just a short while (heating up & slipping).

Also do all the controls and A/C buttons seem to be in order and working?

1998 toyota rav 4. Right side low beam headlight doesn't work. Hi beam on that side does. Checked fuses, they appear OK, and tried 2 other headlights. Left side hi and low working fine.

sounds like there is a broken wire. the only advise i can give you is to follow the hot wire for that light untill you find the break in the wire.

My 97 RAV4 tends to overheat when sitting in traffic. Fine otherwise. Could this be a thermostat problem or a sensor? The check engine light is on also but this may be an unrelated issue.

yes...thermostat usually causes this bc its not you have heat....also radiator may need to be flushed.....coolant may be low..radiator coils may need to be sprayed out with air hose or garden hose...never a pressure washer...have a great day

Huge noise at the back (diff)

If you have 4WD then it could be center mount support is loose or worn.
When you change gear it is loading unloading the drivetrain components. So when they become worn or loose you will hear a loud clunk or noise each time you shift. If really bad then check driveshaft u joints about to let loose.

Any shop can give you a quick visual inspection underneath with a lift and be able to physicaly feel or move components for looseness within 5 min time. That could identify the problem component rather quickly.

Where is the Air Fuel Sensor Located on 1999 Toyota RAV4?

The air fuel ratio sensor is located in the exhaust manifold before the convertor. It looks like a o2 sensor.
