2003 focus won't start

My car won't roll over. The radio and lights work but won't turn over. Won't even jump start.

This has a 2 piece terminal. The starter directly connects to the battery. That terminal was dirty. I cleaned it, And it started.

Even though the radio works the battery is your problem. It doesnt have enough juice to start the car. you will have to take it out of the car and have it tested to make sure. Any auto parts store will test it free of charge. Poor quality cables will not jump a battery with that low of power. I learned that the hard way with my impala.

If a "jump" makes no difference at all, I would suggest that the starter motor is at fault. By all means have battery checked but make sure you have code for radio before disconnecting. Also if a manual, try a " bump" start.....even a low battery should have enough power for that to be succesfull

SOURCE: the car won't start; lights,

Check the starter and the starter relay or fuse. A client of mines car was doing the same thing, it ended up being two issues, the starter not working anymore, and a relay that was bad. If I am not mistaken everything should be labeled in the fuse box under the hood and will tell you where the fuse/ relay is for your vehicle

SOURCE: 1988 Cadillac DeVille

The 88 Deville is one of many cars made by GM that is using the antitheft system called VATS PASSKEY. (its that little black chip in the key) When this system fails, the car can't get the signal from the chip, so it locks out the starter to prevent theft. The car thinks it's being hot wired, so it shuts down. Look for a light on the dash that says SECURITY or ANTITHEFT. This is proof of a security failure. This might be your problem. This link explains more.

My 2003 Saab 9-5 Aero 4-cyl Turbo Won't start. However, I have power in car, lights windows and radio works. But it won't turn-over. It could be Starter or Starter Relay. I can't find out

Ok, those systems might still work because the not require as much energy as the starter. Check the Battery Voltage with a good Voltmeter. If below 12, there might be your problem!

The whole truck won't turn on not even the lights and radio.

sounds like dead battery. did u try to jump start it. If u did all this it is possible one of the main fuses is blown. Check with a test light.

2003 lexus es300 won't start... radio lights and windows work. Tried a jump start, still doesnt work...

Are you saying the engine cranks but won't start, or the engine won't crank ?
If the engine does not crank, you would check for voltage at the starter, the neutral safety switch, and the key switch as well as the ground connections.

It sounds like your ignition tumbler is going back or your ignition switch. Hopefully this helps you out and gives you a place to start looking. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask. Good luck.

I have a 2003 ford focus and my radio does not work. I have checked the fuse for it but there is nothing wrong. Anything I can do or check?

Check the detachable portion of the "faceplate" on the radio. It's where the memory buttons are. That sometimes doesn't get a good connection and the radio won't work.
