Transmission fluid coming up through dip stick. Does dip stick supposed to have a tight seal when inserted into tube.

If you have trans fluid coming out the top of the dipstick tube, you have other issues. Make sure the transmission is filled to the proper level and that the vent on top of the transmission is clear and unobstructed.

There weep line on left side of transmission can't see were it connects to thier is little fluid comes at 50 miles per hour

The weep line comes from the top of the transmission it's a air vent. If fluid is coming out it's either over full or foaming really bad at 50 mph. Have you tried having the trans flushed or have a good service done on it. Check you dip stick it should tell you weather or not the transmission should be in neutral or park hot and on level grand.
Not trying to come off like an wish donkey but some people do check it wrong all the time.

Where is transmission vent tube for 1996 chevy K1500 - suspect it is clogged but cant find it

vent from trans comes out of trans on the passenger side of the trans.it is located about 1/3 the way back on top of the trans.a rubber hose will be attached and usually connects with the transfer case vent hose.If the trans overheated chances are there is a problem with the transmission.if the fluid smells burnt you have bigger issues.

Transmission fluid pressure

The transmission is probably WAY overfilled. If you are trying to "check" or "top-off" the fluid level by removing the FILL/VENT CAP and looking in, then that is most likely the case.

The fluid is checked on that transmission by placing the vehicle on a hoist and removing the CHECK PLUG with the engine running. The fluid should just barely dribble out from the check plug when it is checked. Please note from the diagram below, that the check plug is UNDER the vehicle iand is WAY below the FILL/VENT CAP.

I cant check fluid in transmission no dipstick

THE 4T40 E 4T45 E AND 4T65 E THESE TRANSMISSIONS DONT HAVE A FILL TUBE WITH DIP STICK.THOSE TRANSMISSION VECHICLE HAS TO BE PUT ON A LIFT AND LEVEL. TRANSMISSION HAS A FLUID CHECK PLUG LOWER HOUSING TRANSMISSION JUST ABOVE THE OIL DRAIN PLUG.TO CHECK FLUID TRANSMISSION NEED TO BE OPERATING TEMPERATURE. WITH ENGINE RUNNING AND TRANSMISSION FLUID PLUG REMOVE IF TRANSMISSION FLUID POURS OUT. CHECK PLUG HOLE.YOU HAVE TOO MUCH TRANSMISSION FLUID IN TRANSMISSION.IF FLUID DONT DRIP OUT HOLE NEED TO ADD A PINT AT A TIME.IF FLUID DRIPS OUT SLOWLY FLUID CORRECT TO POUR TRANSMISSION IN TRANSMISSION RAISE HOOD LOOK ON TOP TRANSMISSION ON DRIVER SIDE FOR A RED VENT FILL PLUG.REMOVE PLUG USING A LONG LONG FUNNEL POUR TRANSMISSION FLUID IN THE VENT FILL PLUG HOLE.THIS VECHICLE THE DEALERSHIP HAS TO CHECK FLUID USING A LIFT.YOU CAN DO THIS JOB BUT IT WILL VERY DANGEROUS YOU CAN PUT CAR ON JACK STANDS WITH VECHICLE SITTING LEVEL. BUT THE DANGER PART COMES YOU HAVE TO SLIDE UNDER THE CAR WHILE ENGINE RUNNING TO CHECK FLUID.IF YOU DO THIS JOB HAVE FRIEND OR HELPER AROUND DONT WORK UNDER CAR BY YOUR SELF ALWAYS KEEP CELLUAR PHONE ON HAND FOR EMERGENCY.

I have a 2000 ford taurus with Transmission Fluid coming out of the dip stick. can i fix this myself or do i have to take it in?

There is a transmission vent tube on top of the transmission, & when the vent tube sticks shut, it causes trans fluid to come out of the dipstick (path of least resistance), and/or, the trans pan gasket. This is a common issue w/ the 2000 Taurus. To resolve puncture the trans vent tube.

2000 caliver leaking out of vent hole on transaxle changed filter . filled transaxle to top of hole leaking out of vent.also put new oring on cap.

This sounds like there is too much transmission fluid that was added. On the passenger side on the transmission has a plug about 2 inches above the transmission pan.The correct fluid is guaged by removing this plug and checking to see if fluid barely comes out while vehicle is running and is up to operating temperature. When the fluid is just barely coming out this hole That is when you reinstall the plug and the fluid level is adequate. If too much fluid was added would remove this plug and let fluid drain out for a bit then put the plug backa nd let the trans fluid heat up and pull that plug back out.

Will a dirty transmission filter cause leakage from the top of the transmission? Back pressure?

There is several things that will cause the fluid to come out the vent on the transmission. The transmission has been over filled or you may have water to get in the transmission. Look at the fluid and if it's not a deep red then you havepossible water deluteing the fluid. The water would come from the radiator and get inside causing it to over fill. The best thing to do is drain the fluid and change the filter and inspect the transmission. If you find out that water has got into the radiator, then by no means have the radiator transmission cooler checked for a crack or broken connection. Hope this will help you.
