Tough to say. The lifter making the noise could be allowing oil pressure to escape. Or it may be dry for oil because oil is not getting to it. You may have to take the lifters out to see if it is a lifter problem or lack of oil.
This is to remind you of the oil change, and also they have it programed to come on every 7500 miles for service, this is so they can sell you something but basicly for oil changes, to reset the light and when you have an oil change you should ask them to reset it even if its not on, depending on how often you do an oil change you may just need to reset every second oil change, for example an oil change should be done every 3,000 mile this way the light comes on and you can wait until the oil is due the second time, hope this helps. to reset turn key on all the way but dont start engine make sure all doors are closed then push and hold the trip button until you hear 3 beeps system is now reset.
1st off, mods are tricky. You put lifters on there. You need to check with the manufacturer to see what their specs are for installation. Lift Kits have to be "tuned up" from time to time. It's not just a wham bam thank you ma'am type of installation. You have to keep servicing them every so often. I would check with the place that installed them to see if they have a maintenance deal on the lift kit service. But better yet, lift kits on Crown Vics are not really a smart thing to put on. They really can cause a downhill spiral of problems once you do have it. But, you put them on for a wow effect I'm guessing, so just get them serviced, or put it on a rack so you can service them yourself. But check the forums for your kit for a how-to. Good Luck
Some of them have an oil plug at the front of the pan, as well as the regular one. You have to drain them both. The front one only holds a quart or less.
you need to jack that side of the engine up. take the right side motor mount bolt loose then jack the engine up from underneath. be sure to use a block of wood or somthing so you dont bust the oil pan
