I have the same truck and it was a 20amp fuse that blew on mine--it's one of the larger, square fuses top-left side of the fusebox.

Its most likely a fuse or a bad connection. but check the fuses first.

sounds like 1 of the 2 switches is bad, try replacing the headlight switch first then if still having problems try brake switch on the brake pedal

I would suspect the turn signal switch is at fault.have someone hold the brake and wiggle turn switch. ..When you turn swtch to the right and brake the turn switch turns off left brake lamp so light will blink same thing the other way ..kinda complicated but hope that helps

I suspect a bad multi function switch located in the left hand side of the steering column. This switch controls your high/low beams/wiper delay/windshield washer/turn signals and hazards.

do you head lights work ok are your turn signals working the brake light go through the multifunction switch then to the brke lights also did you check the brake light switch for power going in and opperation

Turn Signals work intermitently on 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 Pickup


My turn signals worked fine until last night when I ran my battery down and had to get a jump. I realized right away that my turn signals suddenly didn't work. My theory hasn't been tested, but I am going to unhook my battery cables and reconnect again to see if that does anything. If not, I'll check out the steering wheel and that big square thing by the fuses. Thank you for all the posts and I was so happy to find this web page!

I would guess the brake fuse ( this does not use the same fuse as the tail lights/blinkers) or the ground for the brake light bulb.
