Question about Cadillac CTS
2003 CTS 3.2L threw serpentine belt. Car made no unsual noise after belt came off. Started it a couple of times but did not drive before I had tensioner and belt replaced and there was no noises coming from the engine. Terrible push-rod knock after tensioner and serpentine belt replacement -- took it to dealer. His mechanic listened and immediately said blown engine. I'm wondering if timing belt could have slipped, no reason for engine to go (129,000 mi). Dealer will investigate belt for $1000, but wants to put in new engine for $6000.
You bent a rod get the motor from someone other than dealer they will soak you
