I am trying to change out the battery in my Chrysler 300 (2000) and can't get to the battery. How do I get the air filter box out of the way? It doesn't seem to even budge. Thanks!

There is a removable plastic door built into the wheel well. Its possible to do it with the wheel cranked all the way over to right but much easier if you remove the wheel. Replaced mine not long ago. Good luck.

You have to go through the wheel well on the passengerside of the vehicle take the whhel off turn the steering to the right and youll gain access that way. if you want to go from the top youll have to pry the air cleaner off its held inplace with a rubber grommets. hope this helps you.

Where is the air filter located on a 1996 chrysler town and country?

As you stand in front of the car with the hood open you will see a black box on the drivers side front of the engine near the battery, held in place with two bolts, a 10mm socket will work to remove them. There will also be a hose coming from the front valve cover you can remove that from the box. Loosen the clamp holding the air tub to the throttle body and the clamp holding the air tube to the air filter housing u under the black box. An 8mm or 5/16 socket and a short extension will work for these. Remove the black box. The air filter box cover is held on by two snap style retainers. Pop those loose and remove the air filter housing cover. The air filter will be underneath.

Need to change the battery on a 2004 pt with turbo

Remove the air filter, then remove the air filter box. To remove the air filter box, you need to firmly pull it up, it is not attached to anything, but feels like it is. That will expose the battery, which has one mounting bolt at the base of the battery.

Cannot get battery out of car

W/ flathead screwdriver loosen air intake hose clamp (this holds the the air intake tube to the filter box lid), pop open 2 spring clamps on Left and front of air filter box lid. Look for 4 plastic tabs on back of lid, u must push lid approx 1inch away from u to disconnect this tab type hinge, then lift it off. Disconnect air hose from top, remove top (lid, cover or whatever u want to call it!) remove air filter, the remaining housing (bottom of filter box) snaps in place, so u must give it a good tug straight up to remove. Ahhhh, I remember the good old days, when u just took out the battery. Don't feel bad though, recently had a Buick battery problem, it's located under the rear seat. And I wondered why this guy couldn't find the battery? good luck countrycurt0
