Question about 2000 Pontiac Grand Am GT
Check the brake fluid reservoir, make sure is never run empty, if it run empty and you refill it, 99% of the time you will have air in the systems and can cause the unit not to operate properly and trigger the lights to come on, next check for leaks on all four calipers make sure no piston boots are not leaking or stuck. if everything look good and no air in the system, get a mechanic who has a scan tool to check for trouble codes and a good multimeter to check that sensor, make sure they in good working order. if all sensor are good, more likely the abs unit may be faulty and need replacing, if you need to replace the unit, shop on ebay or junk yard and get a used unit for cheap.
