Suzuki super carry 1.3 engine revs high low high low high low when clutch is put down engine revs very high

wow no year car stated nor a country x10 worse.
welcome to our USA forum!
the country with ZERO, carry cars. not a one. here
and due to that , no books here nor coverage at mitchells. either.
That is a G13 engine, (not m13) is my 1st guess.
Most Suzuki's with tiny engine and run a map sensors, not MAF
so is called SPeed Density system.

if yes, the that means ALL vacuum leaks cause fast idle.,
armed with that juicy fact, we know why it races.
you never said and actual RPM so no Tachometer?
only 2 causes. a huge vacuum leak
or unlikely the ISC stuck wide open with gunk inside, (clean it?)
ISC is idle speed control.
old suzuki's had man killler ISC software, my 91 did it.
and all others like it........
it would hunt idle like mad with any vacuum leak.(of any kind)
today this is very *******, this mode. (hunt)
toyata cost them $1billion in fines for this same deal.

but Clutch drivers have no problems with idle hunt, "skills"
what year/country.?
please showa photo of engine. ?
and win. a win/win
you win and I win not guessing all that.

fact 2 , is that that hunt tells me the ISC is moving fast.
so is not stuck. (99% says R3PO)
unplug ISC see the hunt end? sure.
the ECU has lost its wits. from..... this....
it sees a massive air leak (vacuum map readings ) and then (dumbblly ) hunts it like mad, (bad Firmware code) but real.
i can demo this is seconds hood up.
causes?
1: vacuum hose fell off.
2: same hose cracked.
3: brake booster diaphragm cracked, sucking air big time)
4: lots more,. even gunk under throttle plate blocking it open.
and more. lots more. can cause lots of vacuum leaks.

The RPM on my 1996 Saturn runs between the numbers 2 and 3 and stays at the same RPM when sitting idle. Any ideas what it could be?

Thanks for choosing FIxYa and welcome to the site. Check to make sure that your idle control is set properly. It may be set to high, thus causing to have high rpms. If it is correct, it may be your idle control sensor or possibly a map sensor. I would check the idle sensor before the map sensor. Thanks for using FIxYa.

When i start up my 96 buick regal it idle's real rough between 500 to 1500 rpm's and will spike up to 3000 rpm then drop so low it dies. Whendriving there is no problems just when idleing. I have replaced...

definately sounds like a typical mass air flow sensor problem, they have been a thorn in the early GM's for years, to qick test it, open the hood engine idling.... tap the mass flow gently....if the idle dances up/down get readyu for a new replacement...was $180.00 years back from Buick...also if you need the scan done for free....it is a basic scan...take it to Auto zone or discount auto and ask them for a scan and print out , they will also give you the defunct sensor/parts avail. and price along with its location in your vehicle all for free!!!

Oldsmobile Delta 88, Idles High on Cold start with DTCs

Sounds like a vacumn leak. Gasket under intake plenum may be leaking. Be sure the pcv valve has the o-ring around it in the correct place also as it will set a code.

first check all fuses, even the high amp fuses under hood. if you replaced the batt. cable and all that check the wiring in the steering column and the wiring to the fuses under the dash. mice get in there and really make a mess!! it could b the key switch too

Buick Regal 3.8 dies while braking

Check to see if you have a lot of dirt in the throttle body. Clean the throttle blades out with brake cleaner or throttle body cleaner. You'll see alot of dirt come out. Keep spraying until it comes out fairly clear and wipe the throttle body out with a rag. If this doesn't do it, you may have a problem with the throttle position sensor (TPS). This sensor controls the idle after the car warms up and keeps it from dying when you brake or sit at idle.

I have a 1998 buick regal it will start but won't stay running for longer than 2secs

Greetings,

If your 1998 Buick Regal is the GS model (supercharged), there is a resistor that is either switched into the circuit to the fuel pump or it is bypassed. The idea is to not put as much voltage to the fuel pump under idle or low load conditions. However, under high power conditions, such as when you punch it or drive up a steep hill - which usually also brings in the supercharging, then the circuit bypasses the resistor to give the fuel pump more voltage and, hence, more fuel pumping capacity to meet the higher fuel demand.

The resistor is located in a bad spot where it can pick up lots of road debris, slush, dirt, etc. Thus, it can fail. When that happens, you can start the car but then the resistor circuit is activated and, because the resistor has failed, no voltage gets to the fuel pump and it shuts off, then the car shuts off. If you immediately hold the accelerator down after starting the car (but not to overspeed the engine), the engine will keep running but at a very high RPM.

The fix is to replace the resistor, or bypass it altogether. The resistor is located on the inner front tire wheel fender on the passenger side. If I remember correctly, you get to it under the car, but you may also have to access it by opening the hood and reaching down from the top. It was 10 years ago when I fixed mine and I do not remember. This fixed the problem for me. I hope it works well for you. If you have other questions, you can reach me at kscheer@comcast.net.
