Question about 1998 Buick Riviera
U must jack up the car underneath the oil pan to support the engines weight. Then remove the motor mount. Then you can remove the last two bolts on the water pump. There are two holes in the bracket that is bolted to your engine block. These holes allow u access to the last two water pump bolts. If you loosen the upper bolt of the bracket itself u can swing it forward to get to the bolts on the water pump more easily. Do not completely remove the bracket! It's a tight space, but you'll extend the repair time if you remove the bracket versus swnging it forward.
