well there was is a similar post just like this one and they guy that answered him said the pcm had a brain fart or soemthing like that, thats why i asked about the pcm. but i dont think it could be a switch when u hit the switches on the drivers window control u can hear the windows recieving the command but they dont roll down and the drivers window still works i dont think it could be a switch cuz the windows wont roll down with thier switches either so i dont hink all of the switches went out at once let me know if im retarded :)

Powertrain control module has nothing to do with the windows. most likely cause is the drivers window control switch.

I have a 01 Pontiac Aztek. The drivers side window will roll down but it will not roll back up. It is electric and all the other window controls on it work. I was wondering what I need to do fix it without...

hey what you can do rather than take her in and get a new 'regulator' or motor you just take the door apart and there is a little metal contact below the button just clean that with a little rubbing alcohol. The drives side gets the most use usually so carbon builds up on the connectors and a shop/dealership will usually clean it but charge for a new motor. good luck total time is 15 minutes maybe.

2001 Buick Lesabre windows roll up but not down.

This problem is very likely caused by the drivers side power window switch being defective, I have seen this very same problem in the shop more than once and the new master switch fixed it. here is the part number and price from www.Rockauto.com
AIRTEX Part # 1S3874-Left front Power Window Switch. Price $105.79

Drivers window wont roll up

Unless you've been inside the doors and made repairs like this before..you're better off to take the car to a authorized garage....believe me on this one..the money you spend will be well worth the hair pulling you're gonna do trying to do it yourself.

Driver window will roll down but the passenger and rear wont

The first thing that I would do is check for electricty at the motors them sel and work your way back.If there is elec. at the window motor it's self susspect a motor problem.Remove the motor to see if it spins (but it dosen't me its good it could be week)next check for binding in the window mecanism.
