Question about 1990 Buick Regal

Open Question

I have a 1990 regal limited. ?passenger electric window is stuck. it will not go all the way up or all the way down. it's on the track but it runs crooked. i've got a rubber round piece about two inches wide and 1 inch thick which was laying in the inside bottom of door panel after door was disassembled. a diagram could help determine where rubber piece belongs. we took the window out becasue we had to re-glue a black window strip molding with polyurithane to the top front edge of the window. after 20-years it had come off. we put everything back together but it is running crooked and now it gets stuck. we did not know where to place the black round rubber piece and are wondering if this has something to do with why it is not running straight up and down. an inside diagram of the door panel and it's part would be great. thank you?.

R/F door trim will have to be removed. Most likely you will find linkage disconnected from the inside latch of the outside door handle. You might even find a broken piece of the door handle requiring replacement

SOURCE: 1990 Buick LeSabre windo is stuck open.

The door panel will have to be removed.Look for all screws and remove them. Then pull panel off gentle. The little plastic keepers will pull out, some will stay in the panel, you will have to pry the ones in the door out and place them back in the door panel before reinstalling the door panel.Look for a broken gear,or I think in this case,a broken gear tape.also the window guides(may be not all of them)will have to be replaced. Then fold around the window, and fit in the track.I really can not tell you much more, this is the best I can instruct on this item,If I can still be of help, please ask.

SOURCE: Rain water leaking into passenger compartment, 1997 Buick Lesabre

I have exactly the same problem with the same car. Previous owners garaged it and barely drove it. Now that it's parked in my driveway in the rainy Northwest, problem is a lot of rainwater pooling in the rear foot area, drivers side only.
No moisture at all on the passenger side, front or back. And none in the driver's feet area. Just the back seat, driver's side. No antifreeze smell, etc. And this is a problem when the car is parked; it's not water coming in from underneath or rainwater being driven into the car through gaps while driving.
I found two cracks in a part that I believe is called the "eavestrough." It's a single black plastic piece of molding that is screwed against the body over both doors. This seems to be a common problem -- I went to a local junkyard, found the same make, model and year of car and the plastic molding was cracked in exactly the same two places as on my car. Even with all the screws snugged, it's still a pretty loose fit, with gaps that could easily let water drip down.
After pulling off several pieces of molding and trying to figure out what's going on, here's my suspicion: Water is dripping through the eavestrough and, on the outside of the car, down the column between the two doors.
Normally this would not be a problem. But I noticed that there was a little gap between the car body and the strip of rubber molding that runs on the car body underneath both doors. When I removed this molding (it's screwed on and very easy to remove and reinstall with a 7mm nutdriver), I found that water was getting underneath the molding.
But here's the really odd thing: In addition to the screwholes for the screws holding that bottom molding on, there are three larger holes drilled into the car body underneath that molding. It was apparently made that way (the holes are painted). I'm completely mystified why Buick would leave holes in the outside of a car body like that. They're clearly not drain holes.
My best guess is that that's where the water is getting in. It runs down the pillar between the doors, pools on the rubber gasket/molding beneath the door, and then drips right into the car body through one or more of those holes. The area behind the driver's seat just happens to be the closest, lowest point in the car, so the water pools there.
Today, I sealed everything with a good, clear silicone sealer. Sealed all the gaps in the eavestrough, plugged those three exterior holes under the molding, and added a bead of sealer to the gasket below the door. For good measure, also put a squirt of silicone in every screw hole before reinstalling. I wet-vacced the carpet, which I'm trying to dry as quickly as possible.
If this doesn't work, I'll post more about next steps.

I have problem with My 1994 Ford Mustang windows...they need help rolling up and down. When I push switch I can hear the motor run and a friend said he took apart and they are not off track. Also when all...

I have a 1990 Mustang with power windows. When i first got the car the windows rolled up and down fine, then the passenger one started going up slower than the driver one. When i needed to fix my power locks i had them change the window motor in the passenger side. Now the passenger window rolls up faster than the driver one. The problem is the window motors.......and about the motors still running: the switches probably need to be replaced as well. I can almost guarantee this will solve your problem:)

2006 honda ridgeline sunroof is stuck, will nor close tightly

Most common problem for sunroofs is debris like acorns, twigs, ect stuck in the track on the sunroof. Also, check for bent warped, or other out of place things causing the sunroof to reach it's limit causing it to shut down before closed completely. Remember, power windows, sunroofs, back glasses, nearly everything powered by an electric motor has a limit switch to protect if from damage.

Electric passenger window will not go up

It's hard to say with out actually checking it out myself but there are only a few possibilities.

1) the switch needs to be replaced.
2) the window upper limit switch is stuck or bad (window controls read it as up).
3) after you lowered the window the motor die or the fuse blew.
4) the window came off it's track.

I hope this helps I listed the possibilities in the order I thought is most likely.

Passenger electric window does't work

If it makes a noise when you try to use it, it might be off track. If it dosen't it's probably a fuse or the moter is gone.

I cannot raise my passenger electric window in my Polo hatchback

Carefully remove the window switch, open it and spray electrical contact cleaner on contacts. Try it now. You may need to remove door panel and lubricate guides and tracks for window. Let me know.
