I would rplace your spark plugs and wires, clean the throttle plate and body, run fuel injector cleaner thru the tank or have a top engine cleaning done, replace your trans filter and have it flushed ,replace thermostat and have the cooling system flushed, replace front and rear differental fluids as well as transfer case fluid. It would also benefit you to replace your brake fluid, also your fuel and air filters

Replace all fluids, wires, plugs, run scanner for trouble codes, some auto parts stores will do this for free, clean fuel injectors

Yes i would think so.These new vehicles are suppose to go 100,000 miles before it gets a tune-up and yours is there.I would like the sparkplugs are culprit.

Looking into buying a used 2003 honda odyssey with just over 100,000 miles. what maintence is required? i heard timing belt should be replaced. is this true and how much am i looking at?

For a 2003 used Honda odyssey, the following should be required:-

1. Replace the timing belt. (repair estimates at www.repairpal.com)
2. Drain the whole oil out of the engine and transmission
3. Replace the brake pads
4. Most of all run a diagnosis scan on the vehicle to detect any other possible maintenance that will be required.

Good luck and a good buy.

Take care.

What service(s) does a 2004 rav4 need at 100,000 miles?

This is Toyota's scheduled maintenance for the RAV4 at 100,000 miles...

Replace engine oil and oil filter 1
Rotate tires
Replace engine coolant 2
Visually inspect brake linings/drums and brake pads/discs
Applicable Footnotes:
1) Reset the oil replacement reminder (“MAINT REQD”) light after replacing engine oil, if vehicle is equipped with this light.
2) Initial replacement at 100,000 miles/120 months. Replace every 50,000 miles/60 months thereafter. Refer to "Engine Coolant" in the "Explanation of Maintenance Items" section in the back of this guide for more information.

Hello, according to Snap-On / Shopkey / General Drivers,
For your 2004 Ford Taurus:
1. Inspect Accessory Drive Belt 2. Perform Multi-Point Inspection (Recommended) 3. Replace Engine Coolant 4. Replace Engine Oil 5. Replace Engine Oil Filter 6. Replace PCV Valve 7. Replace Spark Plugs 8. Rotate Tires.
This is going by the general consensus from Snap-On tools and Ford Motor Co. Hope this helps :)

Schedule Maintenance

the trans should be serviced every 60,000, this is a recommendation for all automatic transmissions, also the cooling system hoses should be changed as well as a cooling system flush, the rest of the checks are fluid level checks, the trune up is due at 100,000 miles, the timing belt is due at 105,000 miles

Toyota 4 Runner maintenance at 60,000 miles

The time on yours more than miles affects the coolant, it should be changed every 5 years or 100,000 miles.
