What do I need to remove to get to the evaporator drain pan? I believe it is cracked.

How do you drain the oil from the auto box on a 3.3 voyager,there doesnt seem to be a visable drain plug?

You take off the bottom pan to drain it. Loosen the bolts all around and begin loosening more at one end, so pan begins lowering from one end, and you have a good large, deep catch pan to catch the fluid. Let it drain that way till all drained, then remove the pan and empty its contents into your catch pan. Expect 6-8 quarts to drain, I believe.

Crack in the sump near the drain plug

The crack can be welded once the pan is removed from the engine. Never attempt to weld with the pan still on the engine.

Can an Evaporator Drain be repair if it's cracked?

ok first i would call the shop that just did the work odds are the drain tube is out of position when they reassembled the evap box

Hi! My name is Tom and I can help you.

By drip pan I am going to assume you mean oil pan. First you need to get your car on blocks or up in the air enough to reach the oil pan.

Remove the drain plug and drain the oil.(discard the oil). You will see a number of bolts securing the pan. Using the proper box wrench remove all the bolts.

You will see a gasket. This must be replaced. You can purchase the proper pan gasket by asking for a pan gasket at an auto parts store. While you are there ask for the proper sealant for the gasket.

Clean the pan and any oil on the surface where the gasket will touch. Place gasket sealer around the pan and seal the gasket to the pan cover. Replace the pan. Put the bolts back and fill with oil. Start the car and get it to operational temperature and check for leaks. You are now Good to go.

This is a fairly involved yet simple fix.

You need to clean the drain out as your first step. This is accessed by raising the vehicle on a lift then using something like a coat hanger pressed into the drain hole at the base of the firewall next to the transmission bellhousing on the passenger half of the vehicle.

Your timing cover is worn through. Your timing chain has worn down the guides and is now eating a hole in the timing cover. You will need to replace the timing set. If you are doing your own work, you will NOT have to remove or loosen the head. You will need to remove the oilpan. It's not so much for the clearance as it is cleaning out the trash in your pan. The guides are now in your oilpan, and if you don't take it off now, you will shortly after the oil pick-up screen is blocked with junk. I'm not sure about the 2 wheel drives, but on the 4's you can take the motor mounts loose and jack the engine up enough to get a piece of 2X4 between the mount faces. You can then wiggle the pan out. Since you are replacing the timing chain and have to remove the radiator, do it first. Otherwise you will jack the fan through the fan shroud. Have fun.

Your defrost drain in the frezer is cloged. Every day when your refrig sellf defrosts the water should drain into a hole that leads to a tube wich drains the water to a pan under the refrig. You need to turn offrefrig and remove frezer floor and rear wall and clean out hole and tube with hot water.

05 cavalier oil pan

Did the cracking originate from around the drain plug or elsewhere? During the oil change, the only part that they would have had to touch would be the drain plug,and if they over tighted it, but you would think that if they did that, it would just strip the threads. I would definitely talk to the manager at the shop where the oil was changed, as even if they didn't cause the crack, I am surprised that they didn't notice it either.

I would like to change the transmision fluid in my 1996 s-10 pickup 4.3 eng any advice???

Unfortunately GM didn't put a drain plug in the transmission pans. You'll need a transmission service kit which will have the filter and new pan gasket. Put a large catch can under the pan, loosen all the bolts and crack the pan loose from the transmission and allow the fluid to leak out. Next remove all but two bolts letting the fluid drain as you go. With one hand on the bottom of the pan supporting it remove the last two bolts. Lower the pan down and drain the rest of the fluid out. The rest is pretty simple and hopefully less messy. Wiggle the transmission filter out, remove the grommet and replace it with the one supplied in the kit. Clean the pan, especially the magnet of metal shavings. Clean the gasket surfaces. Place the new gasket on the pan and thread a bolt in each corner into the gasket. Bolt the pan up and refill with transmission fluid.

Remove oil pan

Try this, before removing bolts, breaking loose the factory gaskets seals, fighting with cross members and steering joints, some vehicles can never get done correctly unless a professional mechanic with proper tools and educated ways of removing a oil pan. clean it up where the crack is place some paper towel there after draining out all the oil you can, hint-- might need to sit a day with clean paper towel under it making sure its not releasing any more oil out the crack, scrub it with sand paper when its all dry and clean place some "seal all" brand glue over the crack seal all works on oil, grease, gasoline,must be absolutely clean and dry first. after two coats it dries fast then place some paper in third layer to give more stability to the patch. most of the time you will not need to replace the oil pan. if it still leaks get a good book on your vehicle in the public library they give instructions on most all repairs.removal and replacement.
