Question about 2005 Volkswagen Passat
2005 vw passat new shape 2.0 diesel 140bhp, the engine light is constantley, also on the dash its saying emissions workshop. i have had the car digonosed and its highlighting a glow plug needs replacing - replaced but the problem is still there, (any ideas?)
You will need to have another code scan done. A faulty glow plug will
certainly show up on a scan, but should NOT bring on the engine MIL
light. Erase all faults showing at present. This should extinguish the
engine light. Thin start and stop engine a number of times until the
light comes back on. This will re boot on-board computer. Do another
scan and the fault should show up. If possible do a live reading,
paying close attention to the (oxygen sensors) lambda units
Best of luck
