May be a leak in one or all fo the air bags. or in the air supply line.there is an on/off switch in the trunk on the left side in the tool compartment. make sure it is on. when you lift the car(changing tires, etc.) switch it off.

If you have the manual for the car, go to the troubleshooting section. check your fuses, some can look OK when they're not.

Hi could you please advise me as to why the warning light for the air bag is always on. Thank you

There is a fault in your Air Bag system. Either a Trigger sensor is not registering or the system has detected a problem with your air bag that would effect how it operated.

I have a 1990 Lincoln Mark VII, the air ride was removed and now there is a short somewhere causing voltage regs to fry and draining the battery. We found a connection under the hood (passenger side) and...

after replacing the air system on your Mark, you should have turned the switch off in the trunk and left the air pump intact.....that way the system does not know that anything has been done....you can then just remove the bags and tape off the lines.....basically it does not know when to air up bacause of no pressure changes....all of the electronics on the mark vii are tied togather in the wiring harness and the best thing to do is nothing...plug everything back up correctly and try to turn off the airbag system in the trunk and see if that helps..

Not sure what the other wires go to, maybe the air bag, regardless all instruments are working on the '89.
