1998 camaro 3.8 not firing on # 6

Pull plug #6 out and inspect the color of the plug.
Oily plug = broken oil rings
Head gasket will cause low to NO compression

Check for coolant loss and white smoke.
This is the sign for blown head gasket.

Compare compression to other cylinders.

Mazda 6 1.8 ts 05 constant blue white smoke out of exhaust

It probably has some internal engine damage. If you pull the spark plugs one or more will probably be oil fouled.
You may want to have a compression test done and see if you can find the source of the oil - may be a head gasket.

Truck misses over 45 mph blue and white smoke

well the blue smoke is a fuel issue and the white smoke is also a part of that. check air filter. what year and make? check condition of spark plugs, remember what cylinder they came from, a good burn is a brown paper bag color,a clean plug is a lean cyl , a oil or carbon look is a rich burn, this will help determine if it is one cyl or all 8-6-4 .

Have a 1991 jetta disel. just got it. smokes a lot. how do you adjust to burn cleaner. previous owner tured up fuel to get smoke. i want better mileage.

well if i were you iwouldnt touch the mech fuel pump, u can turn down the fuel but if you dont know what ur doing its a big job... i would turn up the boost about 1.5 to 2 psi its easy and will burn off that extra fuel. should give you a little more power. or go to TDICLUB the will have step by step instructions with pics

My car is blowing smoke and shuddering ef falcon

What color is the smoke ? is it bluish or is it white ?
The blue colored smoke would smell more like burning oil, which would indicate a broken piston ring, ect. the white smoke if it smells of coolant(anti-freeze) would lean toward a head gasket problem.
