Question about 2004 Mini Cooper
My car mini cooper S 2002 failed inspection becuase of the 3rd brake light being out, so i ordered a new one on the internet, i tried to replace it but still didn't come on, is there a trick to it?? i connected the 2 pin connector but nothing, is there a fuse that control that?
Yes, there is a fuse. Your owners manual or the fuse box may indicate which fuse controls the third brake light. If you have, or can borrow, a multi-meter you can take out the bulb and use the probes to touch the contacts while someone steps on the brake pedal to see if the bulb socket is getting power. Or, if you find the right fuse you can determine if it is blown, or replace it with a known good fuse.
