Question about 2001 BMW 325
When I turn the ignition I just get a clicking sound and the headlights flash on and off .
Generally that means the battery is to low or the starter draw is too high.
Try a different batter or charging the one you have. Put a volt meter on the battery next time you try it.
It should read 12.5 volts about, with everything off. When you try to start, it should drop to about 10 volts. When you stop trying, it should come back to 12 at least. If it drops below 10, something is wrong. If it does not come back to 12, it is probably the battery. It is drops below 10 and does not come back to 12, it is probably the starter.
Oh, and make sure the engine can turn over by hand, just to ensure it is not locked up.
