Battery was dead and now the centre dash board and gear selector lights do no come on at night, I also have the anti theft light flashing which it never used to do.

Does this vehicle start? I had this happen in a 2001 Ford Freestyle. The battery was defective / deader than dead. AAA came out to jump it but nothing worked except the anti theft light that flashed, double speed if you turned it to crank, (Which it wouldn't) I had it towed to Walmart to replace the nearly new battery but it still wouldn't start. I called AAA back to tow it to the Ford dealer where I had to pay $65.00 to get the anti theft key/s and computer reset. I said "key/s" because they didn't tell me that I needed my wife's key because you can't just program ONE key. So either I pay a taxi for a 24 mile round trip or I pay an extra $20.00 for a new anti theft key. After that. I had 3 keys to that van. To make a long story short, Have BOTH keys with you when you take it to be reprogrammed.

Chevy Uplander Codes

You need to have the dealer scan the vehicle anti theft system for fault codes, there is nothing you can do for this fault at home.

2004 ford freestar will not start the antitheft light keeps flashing

Look in ur 2004 freestar book and find the fuse it should be #9 (PATS FUSE)under the driver dash. Take the fuse out the lil red light on dash will not light anymore and ur van will start and keep the fuse out.

Circuit board is completely blown and van will start but immediately stalls

This sounds like the anti theft security is not getting the info that it needs to allow the van to run. If the dash is messed up, then it might be effecting the way the computer receives the security info and is not allowing it to start. Believe it or not, your key is constantly sending a signal thru your ignition to your Theft deterrent module which ALLOWS your van to stay running. If this has been interupted, the van goes into anti theft mode. Here is a link on how the system works and some Solutions that might get you going again. http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/

Service anti theft system light is on, car won't start

Try turning the key to the on position with the dash lights on. Let the vehicle sit for 15 minutes with the drivers door open. That should reset the anti-theft device.

I lost the keys of my ford 2006 while surfing yesterday. I tried to start the ignition by breaking the cylinder and using a flat screwdriver but no luck. It does the starting sound but doesnt start. there...

You cannot start the car without the chip. That's why it's called anti-theft device. The purpose is just that: to prevent anybody to steal the car with a screwdriver.
You have to get a new cylinder and a new key from the authorized dealer. You'll probably need some proof of ownership.

1997 Chrysler T&C Van - gauges are out, intermittent start prob

do you have a (FOB) to lock and unlock your car. Because when you press the unlock button it is suppose to disarm the anti-theft control, which will allow the car to start but not run for long.
